Why I’m Running

Jessica Spillers is the incumbent Ward 8 Manchester Board of School Committee Member. She is a mother to three young children, a wife to her husband of 14 years, and a passionate social worker and advocate.

She has spent her career in various roles within community mental health, the criminal justice system, and the state that have prepared her to lead in this unique juncture in time.

Jessica has a proven track record of bringing people together to develop creative, practical solutions and has applied these skills to help the school board achieve its goals during her first term. Her background in social services gives her a broad perspective regarding the full range of issues schools face—from book bans to increasing mental health needs to teacher pay and appreciation. She understands and empathizes with it all.

Jessica strongly believes that a quality education is a right—not a competition. To do this we need energy and collaboration on our school board. Our schools need to provide the quality education that is fundamental to Manchester’s future.

  1. We need to fully fund our public schools.
  2. Communication needs to be improved and trust within the community strengthened.
  3. Students need to feel safe in our schools, no matter who they are.

Elect Jessica Spillers on November 4, 2025 to provide new energy and a parent’s perspective on the Manchester Board of School Committee. She will bring the best we have to offer to all our students.
